Compact Tractors

A Compact Tractor – also known as a Compact Utility Tractor (CUT) – is designed for tasks such as landscaping and estate management as opposed to harvesting or planting on a commercial scale.

Compact Tractors are essentially smaller versions of the agricultual tractors that are commonly seen on commercial farms and their power ratings typically range from 20-50 horsepower.

Similar to the large agricultural tractors, a front-end loader (FEL) is one of the most common attachments for compact tractors, and like it’s larger cousin, will typically have a hydraulically-controlled adjustable three-point hitch.

In contrast to large agricultural tractors, specialised compact tractor implements are required for CUTs, which commonly include the box blade, the grader blade, the landscape rake, the post hole digger, the rotary cutter, a mid or rear mount finish mower, broadcast seeder, subsoiler and the rototiller.
